This is a commonly used 25W low voltage halogen capsule type light bulb that is used in many cooker hoods. Do watch that you order the correct wattage of light bulb as there are both 25W and 40W versions available.

If you fit a lower rated bulb, i.e. fit a 25W bulb where there was a 40W bulb you will notice that the light is more yellow and not as bright as the original bulb. Should you fit the 40W lamp to a system designed for 25W bulbs then it is possible that you could damage the cooker hood's electronics or switch so do take care and ensure that you select the correct lamp for your cooker hood.

It is also worth noting that cooker hood lights are designed to be used while cooking and not left on for extended periods. Doing so can result in premature bulb failure and also damage to the switch or PCB, this is the most common reason that we find for the failure of these components.
