Cooker Hob Plates Elements
These heating elements that are fitted to a number of built in hobs and also freestanding cookers are the "solid plate" type that we refer to them as is the trade. These newer type hotplate heating elements have taken over from the older radiant spiral type of heating rings as they look better and have become more efficient over the years.
These plates come in both rapid and slow, the rapid heating ones being designated by a large red dot in the centre of the heating plate itself. We generally only use the rapid ones for replacement as they heat up quicker.
The chrome trim around these plates does discolour with use.
