There are however some tumble dryers that do require that you take a little more care to ensure that you receive the correct heating element. When tumble dryer heating elements fail you will get the fault of no heat from the dryer, but the thermostats can also give this problem so please inspect the heater for visible signs that it has blown. If there are no visible signs of it having failed then you will need to meter the element to ascertain whether or not it is fault.
However we would strongly recommend that when checking the heating element that you also check the thermostats as a matter of course for any sign of damage or burning. It is the case that faulty thermostats can cause the heating element to fail prematurely in some tumble dryers.
