UK Whitegoods Fault Code Guide Download

The second release of the manual with all the fault codes from the UK Whitegoods forums collected together in one handy volume. Now available for download only ! Due to the way the store works we have to make the guide cost two pence but, effectively, it's free.

This guide is aimed primarily at the trade for reference to many fault codes in one place but it does not contain diagnostic information, self test or extended servicing information. The Whitegoods Trade Association version does contain some more information but that is only available to members of the association and not to non-members.

As we work on adding more and more fault code information for many different appliances we are also in the long slow process of transferring the relevant information for the general public over onto the main UK Whitegoods website into the self repair section. you can jump to that section of the website from this link and get a lot more help and advice than just the fault code you need.

The book is intended to be a reference work giving as many fault codes and diagnostic procedures as is possible for the first time ever in one easy to use manual.

The book includes many fault code meanings as well as many possible remedies for the code, handy references and loads more besides.

Before you order this guide which, although pretty much free, will still cost you a few pence please realise that it was written by engineers for engineers. That means that a lot of the fault codes in it have a very brief explanation and, as we move to a more interactive way of doing it, a lot of the information is for older appliances prior to about 2009.

As we move more of the guide over to the main website you will find the most popular fault codes in the fault code section of the UK Whitegoods website from the link.

However, as you will see in most of the fault codes listed there we do strongly advise that you read the relevant section on self repair for each appliance type in this self help section.

The reason is that, whilst fault codes (when you can actually get the meaning of them) can be an aid to diagnosing and repairing any product, they are no substitute for good old fashioned logical fault diagnosis. They will, in a great many cases, only point you in the right direction and narrow the scope of where you are looking for a fault or a failed component. What they will most probably not do is pinpoint the exact component that has failed or reason for the error code being displayed.

The companies are all vetted, approved and monitored by us and will almost without exception be cheaper than any national or manufacturer service.

Many of the engineers that will respond (normally) have many, many years in the trade and know appliances very well, how to test them, how to diagnose faults and how to repair them. Please listen to them as they will not steer you wrong.

Buying spares for any appliance can range from the simplest task in the world to one of the most daunting as you try to pick your way through model numbers, serial numbers, ranges and all sorts of information.
