Door boor seals, sometimes known as a rubber door seal, door bellows seal or simply a washing machine door gasket are fairly easy to fit for the most part, even for a novice. Although washing machine and washer dryer door seals are often referred to as being a "rubber door seal" they are in fact and, have been for many years, made from a silicone based compound as rubber would perish prematurely as well as get dirty. Rubber can also lose its shape easily unlike modern washing machine door seals unless they are made from poor quality materials as many cheap ones often are in order to achieve a lower cost.
