From the USA we have imported Whirlpool's Glisten ™ Dishwasher Cleaner which was developed specifically to combat residue build ups and odours from dishwashers.

It is ideal for removing built-up soap scum, food stains, and discoloration due to iron and other water impurities.

Using Glisten is simple, just pour the contents into the main wash detergent well and run dishwasher through a light or normal wash cycle without dishes if possible to make your dishwasher sparkling clean.

Heavily stained dishwashers may require a second application.

Monthly use is recommended. Glisten ™ also removes brownish iron and hard water stains from dishes, glassware, and plastics.

Dishwashers can get dirty, very dirty and therefore you have to make sure that you look after your dishwasher to get the best from it. Most often poor cleaning results from the dishwasher are simply a result of them not being properly cleaned.
