Shipping and Returns

Please read carefully as this explains your rights as a consumer under the Sales of Goods Act, Consumer Rights Act and the Distance Selling laws.

Delivery Of Goods

Every effort will be made to ensure delivery of the goods within the defined timescales but we can not be held responsible for delays in delivery once the order has been dispatched. Delivery charges will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Delivery Address

Please ensure that the delivery address used is complete and correct using the postcode lookup facility (the small icon to the right of the postcode box on the checkout page) and that someone is available to receive the order if no-one is available when a delivery attempt is made retrieval of the goods will become your responsibility. This could mean using a work address or a friend/family member who is always available.

Delivery Times (Stock Items)

Stock lines are usually dispatched by the end of the next working day if ordered before 2pm but same day wherever possible.

Economy shipping is recommended only for non-urgent items as this is the slowest possible shipping method and the cheapest.

We prefer the Economy courier option as it offers a good balance of speed, cost and traceability. Evri/Hermes provides this service.

Heavy and large items, such as motors, may be despatched by DPD/UPS or an alternative which is normally a next working day (excludes weekends) delivery service after we have despatched the item.

This only applies to the UK Mainland; deliveries to offshore Islands and remote areas where possible will normally be expected to take longer.

Orders valued at over £50 will nearly always require a signature; please ensure that someone will be available (see "delivery address" paragraph above).

Carriage Charges

Carriage charges vary according to the weight, size and value of the part(s) ordered and are calculated automatically when added to your cart.

The carrier (if used) will accept a signature from any person at the delivery address. Once a parcel is accepted and signed for, the responsibility for it passes to the customer (not the signatory)

Large (oversized/overweight) items (panels, dishracks, cooktops, tubs, drums, etc.) may incur additional shipping fees to some regions, especially off mainland UK.

Export Orders

We are able to send most parts outside of the UK if your country does not appear in the drop-down box when entering your delivery details, we are unable to ship to this country.

Please note that in order to keep the cost of shipping as low as possible that we use standard guide rates for international orders; however, depending on the weight and size, these rates may be insufficient and extra charges may apply on some orders. In an effort to minimise the shipping charge, we will often pack, measure and weigh an order before quoting a final shipping cost.

Damaged Goods

Where the outer package is damaged, you should mark the carrier receipt with "Damaged" before signing and accepting delivery. If you are unsure as to the condition of the goods, you should mark the carrier receipt as "Unchecked" before signing to accept delivery.

If you receive an item that has been damaged, please contact us by email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk immediately to arrange the return of the item for replacement. Where possible, please attach a photo showing the damage, this may remove the need to return the item.

All claims for damaged goods must be made within 24 hours of delivery!

Definition Of Incorrect Goods

Please note that all spare parts are subject to design and specification changes by the manufacturer. Often the part provided may not be an exact match for the original but is deemed by the manufacturer to be a suitable alternative.

Incorrect Goods

If you receive an incorrect part, please inform us immediately so that we can arrange the despatch of the correct part as soon as possible. Alternatively, you can cancel your order, and we will refund your payment on receipt of the unused item(s).

Returns

If you purchase an incorrect item from us, please inform us immediately by email quoting the order number so that we can cancel the order. If the order has already been dispatched, you are responsible for the safe return of the unused goods upon receipt, of which we will arrange despatch of the correct item(s) or cancel your order if you prefer.

We will not accept items that have been damaged during fitting. Items that show signs of being fitted will not be accepted for refund. Timers, modules and other electronic components can be damaged by static electricity. These items can not be returned for credit if they have been removed from the sealed packing.

For products that have been fitted for fault-finding purposes, we will deem it to have been used.

Before returning any part, please ensure you contact us to arrange the return as multiple despatch addresses are used. We will be unable to accept any part returned for a refund without prior authorisation.

Items that are not returnable:

  • Items not returned in the condition they were received
  • Items that have obvious signs of use
  • Items that are returned more than 14 days after returns authorisation
  • Unwanted items that were delivered more than 14 days ago
  • Special custom order items that are not normally stocked

Always obtain a certificate of posting when returning items by mail. We can not accept responsibility for returned items that are lost in transit.

It is recommended that - for your own protection - you should send the products back to UK Whitegoods per our instructions using recorded delivery so you have proof of delivery. Additionally, it is the customer's responsibility to take reasonable care of the goods during the cancellation period, and we would, therefore, recommend the product(s) are returned with the original packaging in good condition to avoid the products being damaged on the return journey.

If you fail to take reasonable care of the goods before they are returned to us, and this results in damage or deterioration, we will charge you for the reduction in value or the return may not be authorised.

We will not accept any package that is sent without the correct postage. Such packages are treated as undeliverable by the carrier.

All sales on this site are governed by UK law. When ordering goods or services using this site, you are entering into a legally binding contract with UK Whitegoods.

Working Days

Working days are defined as Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

Cancellation

Orders can be cancelled up to 14 working days from the day following receipt of the goods. All cancellations must be made in writing by e-mail.

You are responsible for the safe return of any unwanted and unused item(s). Your payment will be refunded for unused goods; delivery charges are not refundable unless the item is damaged or faulty.

Please note that special factory order spare parts are often non-cancellable and cannot be returned. Whilst on order from the factory, we will often be able to cancel an active order; however, after delivery from the factory, we cannot in all cases.

Guarantee

Most of the parts we sell carry a twelve-month guarantee against faulty materials or workmanship. In the unlikely event of component failure, please contact our technical department by e-mail to confirm the fault and if appropriate, arrange the return of the faulty item(s) for testing and repair/replacement. You are responsible for the safe return of the goods.

This guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights.

Please do note that the warranty on spare parts is an RTB (Return To Base) warranty and that any warranty claim demands that the item is returned for inspection by ourselves and/or the manufacturer to verify that any claim is valid before a remedy is offered and this can be replacement or refund at the discretion of the manufacturer or ourselves.
