Spare Part Ordering Advice
We're here to help you...
This page offers you advice to help you to locate and get the correct spare parts you need at the lowest prices possible and we encourage people to read before ordering spare parts as we want to help you to make sure you get what you need as hassle-free as possible.
Much of this information is so that you have a better understanding of how our industry works and how we can help to ensure you get the spare parts that you need as quickly and accurately as possible.
Spare parts are often different to many products as, if it's not the exact part that is suitable for the product you own, it probably won't fit. That's a hassle for you and we don't want that, we want to be right first time
Reading the following few points can save you a lot of time, hassle and potentially money, sometimes a lot of money!
Save Money On Spare Parts
We see spare parts overpriced everywhere. It is incredibly common and sadly, very easy to do.
What happens as you may have already seen on certain large sites and on some auction sites, are parts listed against a single model or brand priced to compete with others of that ilk. What you do not see or are told very often, is that there will quite often be an alternative part number for the exact same part that costs less, in some cases a lot less.
Some will even send you the "genuine" part and, it is exactly that but it's been ordered under another part number for less money. The seller makes more. You lose.
We don't do that. We will always track down the best price for you across multiple suppliers in the UK and beyond and pass that saving on to you, our customer.
This is one of the reasons we encourage people to ask us about parts you might get a bit confused about or struggle to find as we want you to get the best price you can or even save you from scrapping a machine.
Any Doubt, Just Ask!
There are a lot of parts that are easy enough to find and identify, even with no training or industry knowledge at all but, many are not so simple.
And it's really easy to get it wrong as a huge number of parts look the same, can be used differently in different models and so forth, therefore, can be totally incompatible, even if it "looks like it'll fit".
The trick is to match the model numbers and sometimes even product codes as you can have scores, if not over 100 versions of any given model on some so it's vital to check first that you are ordering the correct spare part as it's a whole heap easier and cheaper for you and us to check first rather than having to sort that out later. Sorry if that seems a little candid but we want to help and save you money, not see getting a part cost you any more than need be.
IMPORTANT: This is why you can see multiple part options used on a single model number, please don't make the mistake of thinking they're all the same other than price as, they won't be.
That small amount of time it takes to ask could save you a lot of time and money as we will find alternatives for you if they are available and we will verify the suitability of any part quickly, which is way faster and less costly than ordering the wrong part. That's what the parts guys here do and, they are very good at it.
Find Spare Parts Quickly & Easily
Using the site to find spare parts is very simple.
The easiest and fastest way to find parts is to, first of all, locate the model number of the appliance that you are looking for a spare part for. Simply type that model number into the search box and all spares identified as being used on that appliance will be shown. This will not work for all makes, Liebherr being one, but it will for most.
This search may not show all the spares used on your machine as some may not yet have been identified or there may be variants of the parts you are looking for.
If you are unsure or are having difficulty in identifying a part please contact us by email (spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk), use the "Contact Us" page, our support system or even the live chat feature and we will identify the part you need for you.
Finding the correct spare part can often be difficult as there are tens of thousands of spares available, most of the commonly used ones you will find here but there are tens of thousands more spare parts that we can easily supply. If you cannot find or identify the part you require send us an email, and we will find it if it is available.
Please Do Not Order Solely From Images
Spare parts change all the time part numbers, suppliers, colours and even configurations can all change often completely at random making ordering by make and models number often absolutely essential. However, often even serial or production numbers are required as well, just like VIN numbers for cars.
Images, while very useful much of the time, can occasionally cause confusion when it comes to spare parts especially as parts can and do change in branding and appearance on many occasions and you can learn more in-depth about spare part changes here.
Even sizes, that are very rarely given by manufacturers, are used where they are available for confirmation purposes only.
There are, from each brand, often many thousands of spare parts, in some cases tens of thousands of spares meaning that there's a lot to choose from and one heating element, drain pump, door shelf and so on often look very much like another to the untrained eye. It is very easy to go wrong when faced with such a staggering and bewildering choice.
But "looking like" what you need and actually fitting the appliance you own can be worlds apart.
We strongly recommend that it is essential in many cases that you do not order spare parts based solely on a picture, even if it may look like or similar the part that you are after as this is one of the most common mistakes that we see made with spare parts.
Cheaper Spare Parts
If you've been looking about online for spare parts, found us and think we might be too cheap there is a reason for that. And, there can be a reason we could be a little more expensive on occasion as well.
Unlike a lot of spare parts suppliers, who will often trade under different names on multiple platforms such as eBay, Amazon and various branded websites we trade solely here on this website under our own name. We do not have different prices or terms depending on where you buy from.
We also have access to virtually all UK suppliers and many outwith the UK as well so, we can very often find spare parts at the lowest possible prices. It is not uncommon for our prices to be anything from 10-50% lower than others.
Equally, we will not sell substandard junk parts and, there are a lot of them, especially where there are copies from the Far East etc.
When you deal with UK Whitegoods, that is who you are dealing with and, you will get the best price we can offer every time.
Easier Way To Get Parts If You're Not Sure
If you're not sure of the parts you need to order or, cannot determine the correct ones the fastest way to deal with it is to let us do the work for you.
The best way in this modern age to do that is to find the rating plate on your appliance, take a picture of that and email it to us with the part/s that you need. We will work out what the part/s are on the particular machine you have and, that also means the chances of any errors are virtually zero.
This is especially helpful at times as, like cars and many other products, even model numbers are sometimes not enough and production codes, serial numbers and more are required to identify spare parts correctly.
Diagnosis Is Paramount
Please do take time to diagnose the fault correctly so that you know that the replacement spare part will solve the problem for you.
We give a huge amount of information on the website to help you do this and, you can seek more help in the forums from the engineers before you order a spare part.
Incorrect diagnosis is a problem in many ways, if you fail to get to the actual cause then even a spare part that you do replace may fail immediately after fitting or very shortly after fitting if there is an underlying cause that is not resolved first.
For more help with diagnosing faults on domestic appliances, please see this self-help section of UK Whitegoods and for even more on specific spare parts, please see this section all about spare parts, how they work and how to diagnose faults.
Below is a short video on how to use the forums to get help:
Check The Information & Delivery Times
Please take the time to read through the information on each listing but if you are not sure in any way at all we'd far rather you asked us for assistance before ordering as it can often save both you and us a lot of time, hassle and money.
All spare parts should have an estimated lead time to deliver to you under normal conditions using courier or first class mail options, be mindful of some that are factory order as these can take longer, in some cases quite a bit longer sadly. For more information on delivery times and the various options, please see the "Delivery" page.
If there are service notes we will normally advise accordingly either on the item's page or by email.
If there are alternative parts available cheaper or can be substituted we endeavour to list them and you will often find lower-cost compatible items in the related items listings. It is worth looking for those as they can quite often be significantly cheaper.
Technical Information
Please do note that the spares line is not a technical information line and that the telephones are not always answered by field engineers.
The best way to get help is to register for and post in the UK Whitegoods Forums (click the link to go there), where you can get many opinions from many appliance engineers, often from one that's trained on the product.
Whilst our spares staff are very knowledgeable, indeed they often do not have the relevant experience on any particular appliance to offer much help beyond what you can find in the Self Repair Advice & Help section of UK Whitegoods.
Alternative/Compatible Spare Parts
We do get asked a fair about this, and there are some things you ought to know.
For some parts, most certainly not all, there will be alternates or where they are very common high use parts there will be compatibles and whilst to those outside the industry this may appear semantics, it's not, there are differences. Some very stark. The easiest way to explain it fast is:
- Compatible: Means a copy or a part that "will do the job" but is not OEM or OEM quality as a general rule but, often they can be just as good
- Alternative: Means it's the same part exactly (99/100) on a different part number and/or from an alternative supplier but in essence, the exact same part but often much cheaper
When we get asked we will look for any alternative or compatible parts and advice accordingly.
For much cheaper parts the best way to think on it is, if the compatible is a quarter of the cost, you'd have to go through four of those to be any worse off so, from our perspective in a good many cases it can often be a no-brainer, especially on older machines.
If You Are Unsure, Please Just Ask Us
If you have any doubts at all we really encourage you to email us or use the contact feature to ask us if you are correct.
We would rather spend the time checking for you than trying to sort out an incorrect part afterwards it saves you time and hassle ensuring you get the correct spare part virtually every single time.
And, the more information you can give us, model number, service numbers and so on, the faster and more accurately we will be able to help you find what you need.
We prefer to ensure that you get the right parts, the first time.
